Understanding Our Cosmetic Grades
Every product on BigTechStore.in is refurbished and functionally tested to work like new — but a refurbished product has a history, and its outer appearance can vary from unit to unit. That’s why we grade the cosmetic condition of every product clearly, so you know exactly what to expect before you buy.
Cosmetic grading has no impact on how the product performs. Every unit — regardless of grade — passes the same rigorous hardware diagnostics, cleaning, and quality certification described in our Refurbishing Process.
A+
Excellent Condition
- No visible scratches, dents, or discoloration under normal viewing conditions
- Screen/display free of visible marks or blemishes
- Keyboard, trackpad, and body show minimal to no signs of prior use
- Closest to “like-new” cosmetic condition available in refurbished stock

Very Good Condition
- Minor cosmetic wear, such as light surface scratches or small marks
- Not clearly visible at normal viewing distance or under standard lighting
- No impact on screen clarity, keyboard function, or usability
- A great balance of appearance and value
A−
Good Condition
- Noticeable cosmetic wear, such as visible scratches, minor scuffs, or small dents on the body
- May include light wear on edges/corners from prior handling
- Does not affect functionality, performance, or usability in any way
- Best value option for buyers who prioritize performance over pristine appearance
A Few Important Notes
- Cosmetic grade never affects functionality. Every product, regardless of grade, passes the same hardware diagnostics and testing.
- Grade is disclosed on every product page before you purchase, so there are no surprises on arrival.
- Cosmetic wear consistent with a product’s disclosed grade is not eligible for return under our Returns & Exchange Policy — grading exists precisely so you know what you’re getting in advance.
- If a product arrives in worse cosmetic condition than what was disclosed on its product page, that is covered under our Returns & Exchange Policy.
